Duncanville, TX - Summary: The City of Duncanville, Dallas county and the North Texas region has experienced an unprecedent winter weather events. The accumulation of snow and extreme low temperatures has significantly impacted the municipal water system with household business and city water line ruptures.
DeSoto’s Electric Provider Oncor informed us early this morning that the rolling power outages have been discontinued in our region.

DeSoto, TX - DeSoto’s Electric Provider Oncor informed us early this morning that the rolling power outages have been discontinued in our region. Oncor reports that DeSoto has approximately 150 accounts that are still without power, but this number is down significantly from the past few days.

Duncanville, TX (February 16, 2021 – Due to inclement weather, the City of Duncanville has closed City Hall as well as the Recreation Center, Library and Duncanville Fieldhouse. Each of these facilities is expected to be closed through Wednesday, February 17, 2021 with a planned delayed opening on Thursday, February 18, 2021.

DeSoto, TX - Many residents in our region have been without power for extended periods of time. Some outages are done by Texas power grid operator ERCOT on a rotating basis to prevent the Texas power grid from crashing. Others are due to extreme weather.
Oncor has asked customers to be prepared to be without power for an extended period of time.

Ft. Worth - Around 75 to 100 vehicles were involved in a massive pileup crash Thursday morning on Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, including several 18-wheelers, officials said. At least five people have been confirmed dead. The total number of injuries remains unknown, Fort Worth police said.
