Midlothian, TX - Dressed in what looked like SWAT gear and armed with a hammer, the killer came upon fitness instructor Terri "Missy" Bevers in the early morning hours of April 18, 2016. The 45-year-old Red Oak mother of three was setting up a Camp Gladiator exercise class at the Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian.

DeSoto, TX - DeSoto will start its football season by playing on national television. And by traveling to Nike World Headquarters in Oregon. It was announced Thursday that DeSoto will play St. Augustine from New Orleans in the Nike Kickoff Classic at 6 p.m. Aug. 26 in Beaverton, Ore.

Cedar Hill, TX - A Cedar Hill woman and her grandson are okay after her home was heavily damaged by a fire Thursday night. Just before 8 p.m. the woman and her grandson heard a loud booming sound and then they saw the flames in the home on Venus Street near Highway 67 and Parkerville Road.

BALCH SPRINGS, Texas — An 8-year-old boy was injured in a road rage shooting in Balch Springs on Sunday afternoon, police say. Balch Springs police say the incident happened on westbound Interstate 20 between Beltline Road and Seagoville Road. Dallas police also responded to the scene.
