DeSoto, TX - With the sudden passing of the honorable Mayor Curtistene S. McCowan, the DeSoto City Council has called for a special election on February 2, 2021, to fill her unexpired term. The State of Texas Constitution mandates that the special election be set within 120 days of the vacancy.
