Missing man last seen in Cedar Hill, possibly going towards Garland, police say

CEDAR HILL, Texas — Cedar Hill police are looking for a man that was last seen Sunday afternoon, and they're asking residents to also be on lookout for him.  The department said Matias "Matt" Guzman left a group home in

the +TX+75104/@32.5690786,-96.9489638,16z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x864e8d0afc675b9b:0xdc23833df33afc85!8m2!3d32.5690741!4d-96.9445864!16s%2Fg%2F11c2cy3x81">200 block of Oak Meadow Lane at about 4 p.m. Sunday. He allegedly told the group home staff that he was going to walk to a convenience store nearby.

According to police, Guzman had been at the group home for about two weeks before going missing. He previously lived in Dallas around the Redbird/Hampton area.

He also has family in Garland and may be trying to reach them there.

Matt Guzman was last seen wearing a brown jacket, an orange shirt and blue jeans. He also wears glasses.

Police said Guzman has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, which he has been prescribed medication for. He also suffers from memory loss due to a previous car accident.
