Car chase in Cedar Hill ends when suspect hits curb, drives into pond

Cedar Hill,TX - A driver leading police on a high-speed chase in Cedar Hill plunged into a pond before being taken into custody, police say.  A Cedar Hill police officer tried to stop the speeding car on Clark Road, police said, but the driver fled.

The driver struck a curb and landed in a pond while trying to turn right on Ironwood Lane, near Joe Pool Lake.

The driver got out of the car uninjured and was arrested on outstanding warrants and a charge of fleeing police.

Crews had to fish the car out of the water. The suspect's name has not been released.
