20-year-old woman charged with murder in fatal shooting in Cedar Hill

Cedar Hill, TX - A 20-year-old woman was taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Cedar Hill Tuesday morning, police said.  Police said Cailyn McCurdy faces a charge of murder for the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man, who has not been identified. 

Cailyn McCurdy is in custody and faces a murder charge, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting call at 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Capricorn Street and found the victim with a gunshot wound to his lower chest. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. 

No other information about what led up to the shooting was available.
