City of Desoto to honor local hero with “Corey Borner Day” proclamation during Tuesday pm’s City Council meeting

DeSoto, TX - During Tuesday Evening’s DeSoto City Council Meeting, Mayor Rachel L. Proctor will honor local hero Corey Borner with an Official Proclamation declaring Tuesday, September 7, 2021, “Corey Borner Day” in the City of DeSoto.

Since so many of you have covered Corey’s inspirational story over the years, including his most recent graduation from UNT and his efforts to walk again after a devastating 2009 high school football injury, we wanted to let you know about Corey’s latest honor and assist you with arranging in-person coverage during our City Council meeting. corey 1

It will also be broadcast live in DeSoto, depending upon the cable provider that carries City TV programming on either Spectrum (Channel 16), or AT&T Uverse (Channel 99).
