DeSoto, TX - The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a police shooting at a DeSoto hotel parking lot early Sunday.

DeSoto police first responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in which a weapon was reported to be involved. Officers next encountered the man from that call around 3 a.m. in a car at the Magnuson Hotel, police said.

Police say the man refused to get out of the car and fired at officers. The officers shot the man, who was taken to the hospital.
