DeSoto man faces drug, weapon charges after neighbors report potential illegal activity

DeSoto, TX - A man was arrested Friday morning after neighbors told police that potentially illegal activity was happening at a DeSoto home, police said.  William Michael Womack, 47, faces five felony charges, including the manufacture of illegal drugs, possession of illegal drugs and weapons possession. He was taken to DeSoto city jail.

These DeSoto High twins are in the running for $200,000 college scholarships

DeSoto, TX - Twin sisters from DeSoto High School have been named semifinalists for a scholarship that could provide a fully funded, four-year college experience to both of them.  Seniors Jazmine and Jazzie Jackson are eligible to obtain early admission to several of the nation’s top universities and colleges and full four-year funding worth over $200,000, according to a release from the district.
