DeSoto, TX - The DeSoto City Council has unanimously confirmed the appointment of 21-year DeSoto’s Fire veteran Bryan Southard as DeSoto’s new Fire Chief. Southard has served as the department’s second in command in the title of Assistant Chief since May of 2018.

Waxahachie, TX - Denzel Green, 54, was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. He’s currently a patient at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie. There, he has been receiving weeks of radiation and chemotherapy to treat cancer in his spine, liver and colon.

DESOTO, Texas - DeSoto police are investigating a shooting Saturday night that sent two 17-year-olds to the hospital. The shooting was reported to police just after 9 p.m., in the 1400 block of Deborah Avenue.
