2 women die after pickup driven by DWI suspect hits their car near Duncanville

Duncanville, TX - Two women were killed early Saturday when their vehicle was struck by a pickup driver who was believed to be intoxicated in Dallas' Mountain Creek area, police said.
The crash took place about 12:40 a.m. when a white 1991 Chevy pickup headed south on Clark Road struck the passenger side of a 2012 Infiniti going west on Clarkridge Drive.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, just south of Interstate 20 near Duncanville. The driver was taken to a hospital, where she also died.
The two women were identified by the Dallas County medical examiner's office as 42-year-old Laquita Day and 30-year-old Lillian Ward.
The driver of the pickup was identified as Henry Diaz-Vargas in police records.
Diaz-Vargas, 20, was hospitalized with "moderate injuries," police said.
