Duncanville, TX - New Hampton Inn & Suites Wins Business Beautification Award. One of Duncanville’s newest businesses, Hampton Inn & Suites located at 202 E. Highway I-20, is the November 2019 Business Beautification Award recipient.
Duncanville City Council recognized Hampton Inn at the November 5 City Council meeting with a proclamation and plaque from Keep Duncanville Beautiful, an appointed board comprised of citizens dedicated to improving the physical quality of life in the community. Hampton Inn opened August 15, 2019 and held the ribbon cutting on October 17, 2019.
City Council Proclaims November 2, 2019 as Arbor Day in Duncanville
The City of Duncanville has earned the rank of Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for 17 consecutive years. On November 5, 2019 the Duncanville City Council proclaimed November 2, 2019 as ‘Arbor Day’ in Duncanville to honor the importance of planting trees and promoting a healthy community through the protection of trees and woodlands.
The City held its annual Arbor Day event this past weekend and gave away 300 trees to residents to continue the tradition of planting trees in the city of Duncanville. The City also planted the ceremonial oak tree at Armstrong Park as part of the event activities.
Municipal Courts Week | November 4 – 8, 2019
On Tuesday, November 5, 2019 the Duncanville City Council proclaimed November 4 - 8 as Municipal Courts Week in Duncanville. Municipal Courts Week is a week, prescribed by the 86th Texas Legislature in House Resolution 1658, dedicated to appreciating the contributions that Texas municipal courts make to the safety and well-being of our communities.
