How can you help?
As can be seen from these photos, in some instances, damage to these homes have made them unlivable. Some residents are without insurance and are now dealing with the devastating aftermath. Although no injuries were reported, many of these families have been displaced and have lost most of their personal belongings. These families are in immediate need of financial assistance to help them in the recovery process.
The Ellis County Long-Term Disaster Relief Committee, which includes the United Way of West Ellis County and the local chapter of the American Red Cross, has a fund set up to allow 100% of donations to be given directly to these families. Please consider a donation of any amount to help these families during this time.
