Midlothian, TX - The alleged theft of $1,750 worth of Frontline dog supplies resulted in the arrests of four individuals on Sept. 23. Midlothian Police officers were dispatched at about 3 p.m. to Walmart in the 400 block of N. U.S. Highway 67.
“The Midlothian Police Department got a call that four black male subjects were in the store and putting products into grey plastic buckets, which came from the store” Midlothian Assistant Police Chief Kevin Johnson said. “The asset manager at the store confronted them and they left the store. They ran out with the products and jumped into a grey Suburban.”
Johnson stated about that time a Midlothian officer was pulling into the parking lot of the store. The officer activated his lights and the Suburban did stop.
“There were four arrests and one of those was a juvenile,” Johnson noted. “Since there was more than one person acting as a group together it falls is in engaging in organized criminal activity since they were doing it as a group.”
Police arrested and charged Dante Jackson, 21, Sharmeka Crayton, 41, Alice Duggan, 53, and a juvenile for engaging in an organized criminal activity. Officers took them into custody without incident.
According to the Wayne McCollum Detention Center’s website, Duggan is the only one that remains in custody as of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. He is being held on a $7,500 bond.
