MPD successfully apprehends two burglary suspects

Midlothian, TX - On Monday, September 10, 2018 at approximately 11:38 a.m., Midlothian officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the 1600 block of S. 5th Street.
The reporting person observed two male individuals driving in the neighborhood, exiting their vehicle and walking door to door at several houses.
Foot pursuit of two burglary suspects ends in arrest
Officers arrived in the area and observed the suspect vehicle at the 1600 block of Alexis drive. The vehicle’s engine was still running and no persons were inside. Officers then observed a male subject matching the description given by the reporting person inside a residence across the street from the suspect vehicle.
Multiple officers responded to the location and attempted to set up a perimeter. Two suspects then fled from the back side of the house through a broken window. Officers pursued the suspects on foot and eventually arrested one suspect in the 1500 block of Meadows Court. The second suspect was apprehended a short time later in the 1500 block of Greenway Court.
The victim’s residence was cleared and no additional suspects were inside.
The suspects have been identified as Jonathan Griffin (21 years old, Dallas, TX) and Seth Bonyo (21 years old, Arlington, TX). Both suspects are being charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Evading Arrest/Detention. Mr. Griffin is also being charged with Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
Mr. Griffin and Mr. Bonyo, along with their vehicle, match the descriptions of the suspects and vehicle from three burglaries that occurred last week in the same neighborhood.
