Oak Cliff - A car had to be cut open to get a woman out Tuesday afternoon after the car became wedged under an 18-wheeler in southeast Oak Cliff, officials said. Dallas Fire-Rescue was called about 5 p.m. to Interstate 20 and South Lancaster Road
where the black vehicle was pinned under the 18-wheeler, spokesman Jason Evans said.
Bystanders had reportedly managed to pull out a passenger out before first responders arrived, but firefighters had cut the vehicle open to extricate the driver, he said.
Both people were taken to local hospitals with injuries not thought to be life-threatening, Evans said.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.
