Red Oak, TX - On June 11 and 12, the Red Oak High School Shotgun Team competed in the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) State Contest.
The SCTP State Contest was held at the Ellis County Sportsmen's Club in Waxahachie, Texas. Athletes and teams from across the state of Texas came to compete in Skeet, Trap, and Sporting Clays.
The ROHS Shotgun Team, under the guidance of Don Williams, came away with numerous individual honors and awards including the 2nd place Overall Team Award. Coach Williams stated, " I can't express enough how proud I am of these young men and women for their dedication and hard work that brought them and their teammates to this level." He continued, "It is with great sincerity that I say thank you to all the coaches and parents who work tirelessly to help these young people achieve their full potential. You are truly exceptional."
